Fresh Bumbershoot

blog Bring the Kids on Down to Youngershoot!

Bumbershoot is a great place to take even the youngest of music and arts fans, to explore, create and enjoy kid-friendly entertainment all weekend long! We’ve highlighted the performances and activities that we think the entire family can get behind in our Youngershoot schedule. Check it out!

Music! Each day you can find a band at Bumbershoot geared toward our younger rock fans. Sing along and tap your toes to The Not-Its!, Central Services’ Board of Education and Recess Monkey on the Northwest Court Stage.

Arts! Film fans of all ages will enjoy Films4Families at the 1 Reel Film Festival; Spin the Bottle, Jr. is a performance puu puu platter good for the whole family; and at the Gage Drawing Jam get an impromptu art class—now with sculpture!

Activities! The Kids Pavilion is located in the Center House, and provides a great opportunity for learning as well as inspiring creativity. ParentMap will give kids a true adventure in growing and greenery, Pacific Science Center will share REAL human organs and bones that kids can inspect as they learn about the human body, and afterwards kids can put the body to work at Dizzy’s Tumblebus—flip, twist and roll! The entire family can also create and play different instruments with Seattle Symphony’s Soundbridge, get crafty at the Clay Animation Network, and party and dance with Radio Disney!
