Fresh Bumbershoot

blog Evan The Intern's New Blog

I just started here as an intern, and apparently they wanted me to hit the ground running. Within an hour of walking through the doors, I sat in front of my antiquated computer screen, and there it was… the Bumbershoot lineup, including bands that weren’t yet announced. It was like being told all the nuclear launch codes on your first day in boot camp.

I was happy about that for about 8 seconds. Then I got the bad news. I wasn’t allowed to tell anyone. Like… ANYONE. Not just you people in internet land, but anyone, including my friends, family, girlfriend, or what have you. If my grandpa was on his deathbed, and he asked me if I could tell him whether or not his favorite band was playing, I’d have to tell him NO in a nice, but firm, manner.

So far this has been the hardest part of my job. I hope it stays that way.
