links Today's Fresh Links: Sheryl Crow — More than Woman and Guitar

CMT reports on Sheryl Crow’s involvement in the Tennessee Scenic Vistas Protection Act, which protects some Appalachia Mountains from being leveled.

The Kansas City Star profiles Sheryl Crow after a recent educational visit to the recording studio with Shawnee Mission East students.

When Crow, a former elementary school music teacher, talked about her life, the kids hung on every word.
“I loved the advice she gave us — it was real eye-opening to have it come from someone who has made it in the music business,” said Legna Cedillo, a senior from Overland Park. “She told us how to put our foot in the door for a music career. But she also warned us that it takes a lot of hard work and requires sacrifice.”
