Joe Goode Gets a Rave Review
Voice of Dance bestows sparkling review upon Joe Goode’s Wonderboy.
Here, dance not only dominates. It does what it has done since time immemorial: It expresses what words cannot. That Twist can wrap his puppet in shades of meaning seems an act of considerable genius.

We had an opportunity to see Wonderboy and Maverick in SF in June and were absolutely astounded. Goode’s wonderboy was eerie in its concept but very caring in performance. I found wonderboy to be as political as any other of his works but there is a sense of looking back at how events change a person for the better. The metaphor of flying is used throughout and wind is an important element. Very highly recommended.
