Bumbershoot: Interview with Iceage Cobra

Seattle rockers Iceage Cobra delivered so far the loudest performance so far in the Bumbershoot Music Lounge. Three guys, three instruments, a lot of hair, and enough high kicks to rival Jim James. KEXP’s correspondent Travis Baer sat down with the band — Jordan (guitar and vocals), Mitch (drums), and Brad (bass) — to ask a few questions.
| T: If you could name your own festival, what would it be called?
J: Well, I guess just because of how it sounds, I would call it the Testical Festival, but I wouldn’t want to play it. I would make bands I didn’t like play it. T: Do you know what some of the stages would be called? M: When the obvious choice there is the Balls Out Stage. B: Yeah, or the Moose Knuckle Amphitheater. T: So who are you guys planning on seeing today? J: We saw The Trucks earlier and they were wonderful. Unfortunately, we have to miss Black Rebel Motorcycle Club because we are playing at the same time as them. B: Tomorrow, I’m going to see Wu-Tang. I am making an O.D.B. mask and I am going to try and trick security and get on stage. |
