Announcing... Bumbershoot's Short Video Competition
Theme: “What is Bumbershoot?”
Bumbershoot is Seattle’s Music & Arts Festival, of course. And the largest festival of its kind in North America. But what is it to YOU? Yes, the theme is wiiiiiide open in order to allow you to reflect the diverse and creative spirit of the Festival. Maybe you’ll create a micro-documentary, an old-fashioned song and dance routine or an animated short. Or if you’re feeling really ambitious, you might turn out a full-blown production complete with mind-bending plot twists and a surprise ending. Whatever it is, we want to see it and we want you to share it.
Entering is easy as pie. Finish your short video (make sure it’s no longer than two minutes if you want it to be considered), upload it to youtube.com/group/whatisbumbershoot and register yourself and your video here. Entries will be accepted June 11–July 31, 2007. The winner will be chosen based on creative expression of the theme as well as production quality. Keep it legal! No copyrighted material, please.
One grand prize winner will receive a pair of Gold VIP Passes to all three days of Bumbershoot 2007 plus accommodations at Bumbershoot’s official hotel, the Seattle Crowne Plaza Hotel for four nights; two (2) passes to the exclusive, invitation-only Bumbershoot Music Lounge; CDs from select Bumbershoot artists, a special edition of the 2007 Bumbershoot official poster; and 2007 Bumbershoot merchandise! Additionally, the winning video will be featured on Bumbershoot’s official website, bringing you much fame (but, alas, no fortune).
