news Join the Emerald City Search, & Score Platinum Passes
Somewhere within Seattle city limits, a mysterious and unique Emerald City Search Medallion will be hidden in plain sight—and it’s up to the Seattle community to find it! We are proud to be a part of the fourth annual Emerald City Search.
In celebration of Seattle’s rich and diverse music scene—past, present, and future—this year’s search theme will be “Music.” From classical composer Alan Hovhaness to jazz on Jackson Street, Hendrix to Fleet Foxes, and Sir Mix-a-Lot to Quincy Jones, our great city has touched nearly every musical genre. In addition, Seattle has an incredibly vibrant live music scene with some of the best venues in the country supporting a dedicated fan base among all musical genres.
Bumbershoot is proud to offer as the Grand Prize two Platinum Passes to this year’s Festival, PLUS the opportunity for the winner and a guest to watch Franz Ferdinand and hometown heroes Modest Mouse from a VIP sidestage viewing area! In addition, EMP|SFM will send the Grand Prize Winner home with a family membership to the museum, a private, curated tour, and four passes to “Sound Off!” in 2010. Stay tuned as we add more goodies to the prize package!
Beginning on August 26th, Bumbershoot.org and The Seattle Times will publish one clue daily for ten consecutive days, leading Seattle adventurers to the location of the mysterious Medallion.
The first qualified person(s) to correctly solve the clues and follow the directions on the back of the medallion will receive a prize package valued at $1,000!
