Announcing... Bumbershoot's Ultimate CD Design Competition
Presented by The Seattle Times and the
Seattle Post-Intelligencer
Are you a music freak?
Do you spend countless hours compiling and reordering playlists on your iTunes to correspond to every possible mood you can have? Tunes for the road trip to Vegas? The perfect workout mix? Cleaning house songs? The "I Really Like You But I Can't Get Over My Awkward Shyness So I've Made You This Mix Tape" collection? Yeah, you know we're talking about you…
Now you can put those mad skills to use by creating the Ultimate Bumbershoot CD—you choose the tracks and you design the cover. If other music fiends like you decide YOURS is the coolest, then Bumbershoot, The Seattle Times and the Seattle P-I will reward you with the Ultimate VIP Weekend.
What's that, you ask? It's only the most incredible way to spend Labor Day Weekend, EVER. The Seattle Times and the Seattle P-I will send you and a friend to Seattle's Music & Arts Festival every day (September 1–3), where you will bypass all the lines, and get reserved seating in all indoor venues (including comedy, performance, theater and film), the Samsung Mainstage, two VIP hospitality areas, and the exclusive, invitation-only Bumbershoot Music Lounge. Just like a front of the line pass at Disneyland, if you were a rock star.
Oh but wait, just one winner? No! We'll also send three runners-up to Bumbershoot with two (2) standard 3-day passes in their hot little hands.
You ready? Choose your Ultimate Bumbershoot playlist, design your Bumbershoot CD cover, and upload your art and song selections, then complete the entry form. Entries will be accepted August 1–15, 2007. On the 16th, we'll post all the entries and online voting will remain open through August 22. The grand prize winner and three runners-up (selected by voters like you) will be announced on August 23.
Have fun, and good luck!
