For the past 13 years. The 1 Reel Film Festival has been one of the nation's largest celebrations of "cinematic brevity." Each year the Festival attracts over 20,000 film-goers, filmmakers, and top industry members to screen some of the world's best short films. The 2006 event featured more than 100 films by directors representing 13 different countries. From stop-motion animation to documentaries to music videos, there's something for everyone at the 1 Reel Film Film Festival.

The bright lights, the booming sound systems, the massive crowds chanting your name—for many musicians there is no greater thrill than performing live from the stage. Each year Bumbershoot receives over a thousand submissions directly from West Coast artists without representation hoping to play the Festival, yet only 30 to 45 of those bands make the final cut.
