08.13.2008 Evan's Guide To Bumbershoot: Saturday
Bumbershoot has a new scheduling system, where BumberFans can sign in, browse the Festival schedule, and pick and choose artists to make their own personalized schedule online. I was playing with it, and it’s so nifty, I decided to try plotting out my own schedule (instead of wingin’ it like I have before). This week, I’ll be bringing you each day of my Bumbershoot schedule, starting with Saturday. This is where I’ll be (if I’m not too busy working during the Festival):
07.30.2008 Ask Evan: Bumbershoot's Literary Arts
Q: Hey Evan, I’m coming to Bumbershoot (so stoked for !!!(!)), but I also want to check out some of the authors. Any suggestions?
Authors, you say? So you want to check out the “lit-arts” at Bumbershoot, but you don’t exactly follow what I call “the book scene.” That’s fine, I get it. You’re hovering somewhere between the being-able-to-read crowd and the reviewing-books-for-The-New-Yorker crowd. I’m in the same boat. Luckily you have me to guide you to the authors of Bumbershoot.
06.25.2008 Teen Angst Poetry Contest!
In the spirit of Sara Bynoe’s F**k Off & Die: Tales in Teen Angst Poetry, we turn to BumberFans for their most heartfelt teenaged writings. It might be your worst fear to let your teenage self see the light of day again after all these years, but let go of your shame and you could score a pair of Gold Passes! But of course that’d mean Sara would read your scary teen poetry to a live audience at Bumbershoot, so that’s a risk you’ll have to weigh… Get all the deets at here.
