Art appears on the side of buildings… covering cars… even the doodle you did on your notepad the other day is your take on artistic expression (some of your finest work, by the way). True to the city, Bumbershoot abounds with art both in classic gallery settings as well as unique site-specific installations and spontaneous artistic expressions.

Ever in pursuit of the region’s astounding artists, Bumbershoot is thrilled to give you an official sneak-peek at the beautiful new artwork to be featured on the Festival’s 2009 Fine Arts Poster, made possible with support from the Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs. This year’s piece, “Fullness,” is from artist Warren Dykeman, an eastern Washington native, and graduate of Western Washington University.
