08.10.2008 Traffic Jam!
The Bumberbooth will be hangin’ out at City Hall after everyone gets outta work on Thursday, August 14 as Seattle Presents spoken word artists and local hip-hoppers Julie C, DJ B-Girl, 1st Quarter Storm, Melissa Noelle Green, and Youth Speaks.
Skip the traffic and jam with us! There will be music and snacks at City Hall from 5-7 pm that evening. We’ll also be giving away all kinds of rad Bumbershoot goodies and signing people up for our BumberFan list.

08.03.2008 Chillin' and Grillin'
The Bumberbooth never misses a chance to chill, and the KEXP BBQ is the perfect place to be on a hot August afternoon (Saturday, August 9).
The Dandy Warhols, Saturday Knights, Helio Sequence, Common Market and Joseph Arthur are on the bill. The prize wheel will be spinning. It all happens on the SLU Discovery Center Lawn starting at 3:00 PM (gates at 2:00).

08.03.2008 Bumberbooth visits City Hall
This Thursday, August 7, the Bumberbooth will be hanging out at the Seattle Presents lunch concert series. We’ll be there from noon until 1:30pm with all sorts of Bumbergoodies while Massy Ferguson cranks out some classic blue collar-inspired rock.
This event is free! If you like free things, or would like to get into Bumbershoot for free, get some info here about this year’s volunteer oppurtunities.
07.27.2008 Bumberbooth vs. Hydros
Everybody in Puget Sound’s general vicinity will be out this weekend (August 1-3) for Seafair’s Chevrolet Cup and KeyBank Air Show. The hydros! The Blue Angels! Live music! The Bumberbooth!
Gates open at Genesee Park at 9am, Friday and Saturday, and 8 am on Sunday. We’ll be there bright and early, and staying til 6pm on Friday, 7pm on Saturday, and 6pm on Sunday. Hope to see you there!

07.27.2008 Live from City Hall!
Seattle Presents is putting on some great lunch time shows every Thursday this summer at City Hall, and we’re lucky enough to be able to attend a few.
This week Choklate, a local rising R’n‘B singer, will be performing at City Hall (4th+Cherry) from noon until 1:30pm on Thursday, July 31. Come for the music, and stop by to see us. We’ll have a bunch of sweet Bumberswag for you to take home!

07.21.2008 Bumberbooth at Block Party!
We’re really makin’ the rounds this summer. The Bumberbooth will be out shading our full force Street Team this weekend (Friday the 25th and Saturday the 26th) at the Capitol Hill Block Party.
Tons of great local and national acts play within just a block or two of Seattle’s second most densely populated neighborhood. Doors open at 3pm on Friday and 1pm on Saturday. The Bumberbooth will keep the prize wheel rollin’ until 9 pm.
Help make Bumbershoot an even more high-powered, well oiled arts machine and sign up to volunteer.
07.14.2008 Chompin' at the Booth
Come down and grab a bite! No, not of the Street Team, and we won’t bite you either.
The Street Team will be attending the Bite of Seattle this year with a full Bumberbooth and prize wheel in tow. Grab a bite or two from tons of different food vendors, sign up for the BumberFan email list, and watch some bands all this weekend (July 18th-20th) at the Seattle Center. We’ll be there from 11am till 8pm on Saturday and 7pm on Sunday.

07.07.2008 Bumbershoot Street Team at West Seattle Summerfest
West Seattle opens its doors and the Bumberbooth will settle in for a weekend of street vendors, local music and merchants, and a whole lotta sun! Come on by the booth, spin the prize wheel and sign up for the BumberFan email list for inside info, contests, and your last chance at ticket discounts.
West Seattle Summerfest runs all weekend, the 11th through the 13th of July. We’ll be hanging out 10am to 8pm Saturday, and 11am until 7pm on Sunday.

06.23.2008 Bumberbooth Pride!
Come on out and show your Pride and stop by the BumberBooth this Sunday at Seattle PrideFest at Seattle Center.
The Seattle Pride Parade starts at 11am on Sunday 6/29 at 4th and Union, marching through downtown and ending at PrideFest at Seattle Center. There will be live music, dancing, drag queens, and our prize wheel!

06.16.2008 The BumberBooth Heads to Fremont Fair
The Bumbershoot Street Team will be celebrating the summer solstice this weekend, June 22 and 23, at the The Fremont Fair.
The Solstice Parade, Art Car Blowout and three stages of free music make this a great summertime event. And of course, stop by the Bumberbooth both nights until 7 PM to spin our huge prize wheel, sign up to be a BumberFan and score some rad Bumber-gear!

06.06.2008 Gaining valuable experience
So, some of you out there in Internetland might be wondering, “How did you become an intern, Evan?” Well, firstly, I would say, call me Mr. Stewart. We’re not yet on a first name basis and you’re making me uncomfortable. I would also find myself wondering how you got my email address to contact me directly, bypassing my secretary completely. Then, I would probably answer your question: It’s taken me just about four years in college, reading things, and then writing things about those things that I have read. I won’t go into the details.
“So with those qualifications,’” you might wonder, “what does an intern do for Bumbershoot?”

Come and visit the Bumbershoot Street Team this Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1, at the Pike Place Market Street Festival.
