Greening Bumbershoot
Bumbershoot Gives Back
Read about our 2009 project:
The King Street Co-op.
Being green these days means more than just recycling. In fact, the concept of sustainability reaches beyond the immediate concepts of "green" and truly expands to the socially responsible actions that bolster and enrich our community. It's simple: by being an active member in the community, you're directly contributing to its success and sustainability.
Recognizing the important nature of social responsibility, Bumbershoot aims to support other local non-profit organizations in meaningful ways that will contribute to immediate and long-term goals. Ultimately, these projects will help make our community more sustainable, while spreading the spirit of doing the same for others.
If you represent a local non-profit organization focused on Arts, Culture, Education, or Environment, and could use Bumbershoot's help to attain an important goal, tell us about it! Our team can contribute expertise in a wide-range of areas from hands-on teamwork (including working staff and tools!) to basic training in areas of event management.
Please note: Monetary funding will not be granted to projects. Applicants will be notified of their project approval status by September 30, 2009. All project work will be done Fall/Winter 2009. Bumbershoot wishes to support projects that will support long-term change in our community.
