Inside the Sound Transit Kids Pavilion in the Center House, kids can:
- Get crafty with ParentMap, and build a rocket ship or train out of toilet paper tubes.
- Help make an animated movie with the Clay Animation Network.
- Identify creatures from the Puget Sound and make their "muddy" footprint in the clean-up efforts with MudUp!
- Make their hair stand up and ribbons float while learning about physics with the Pacific Science Center.
- Get active with Radio Disney: limbo, hula hoop, play hot potato, and shake some booty with the Disney Dance Team.
Don't forget Bumbershoot presents kids activities outside the Kids Pavilion, too. The 2008 lineup includes:
- an Asylum Street Spankers performance geared toward their youngest fans on the Wells Fargo Stage (as well as a later set for the older fans on the Starbucks Stage)
- a performance by Seattle's School of Rock at EMP|SFM Sky Church, featuring the Northwest's next wave of musical talent
- For All Ages: Films4Families - a program of film shorts at 1 Reel Film Festival that are as appropriate for children, as they are rewarding for more sophisticated viewers
- theater simple's presentation of Hans Christian Andersen's "The Snow Queen" on the Theatre Puget Sound Stage
You can find scheduled times for these performances on the interactive schedule.
