Curated by Marita Holdaway / Benham Gallery
A multimedia exhibit about the impacts of individuals on global society, particularly on the themes of war, peace and the environment, "The Power of One," features the work of Charles and Ray Eames, photojournalist Nina Berman, Phil Borges, Katharina Mouratidi, and Jackie Renn. The exhibit will also feature the "Enough Fear" project, which allows Festival-goers to talk one-to-one with people in Tehran. The exhibition takes its title from Charles and Ray Eames' short film "Powers of Ten™" and focuses on the "one" that gives the zero its power—the common individual whose actions influence the world around us. Exhibit made possible in part by Hartley and Marks, and Channel 77. Powers of Ten™: film shown courtesy of and © 1997 Eames Office. Phone project co-presented by The Iranian American Community Alliance and Enough Fear.
