All you have to do is add Bumbershoot to your Top 4 on MySpace. Then, tell us about it by filling out the simple registration form below. That's it! Every Friday through August 8, we will randomly select one of our MySpace friends who has us in their Top 4, and we'll announce the lucky friend on our page.
Weekly winners will receive a limited edition Bumbershoot 2008 official poster, and one grand prize winner will receive a pair of 3-day passes to this year's Bumbershoot, August 30–September 1 at Seattle Center.
Don't forget we will check the weekly winners' MySpace pages periodically to make sure we are still one of your Top 4, so be sure you keep us up there to stay qualified to win the 3-day passes! Easy breezy!
One Reel's "Bumbershoot Top 4 Friends Contest" OFFICIAL RULES
Add Bumbershoot to your Top 4 Friends on your MySpace page, and register your submission on bumbershoot.org. Submissions will be accepted May 30–August 8, 2008 at http://bumbershoot.org/top-4-friends-contest.htm.
Contest Description. To enter, add Bumbershoot to your Top 4 Friends list and then complete the submission form above. One entry per person. YOU MUST ENTER THE DRAWING BY ELECTRONIC REGISTRATION; NO US MAIL ENTRIES PERMITTED. All entries must be received by 10 AM Pacific Time on August 8, 2008 to be eligible. One Reel not responsible for entries that are lost, late, stolen, damaged, destroyed, forged, tampered with, mutilated, incomprehensible, misdirected, illegible, incomplete, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: To be eligible, all contestants must meet the following requirements: 1) add www.myspace.com/bumbershoot as a Top 4 friend on contestant's MySpace page, anytime from the date contest is posted until 10:00 AM Pacific Time on August 8, 2008; 2) must not remove www.myspace.com/bumbershoot from Top 4 Friends until after September 1, 2008; 3) must be at least fourteen (14) years of age on or before Friday, August 8, 2008; 4) must agree to comply with additional terms and conditions of festival admission and complete an affidavit upon notice of prize, and 5) NOT be an employee of One Reel, or other participating sponsors, or entities including advertising agencies, affiliates or subsidiaries, or the immediate family members or persons domiciled with any such employee.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Event subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited or restricted by law.
All information submitted becomes the sole property of One Reel. Fraudulent entries will not be accepted and are subject to prosecution.
PRIZES: Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, or local taxes, fees, insurance and other costs, expenses and service charges associated with the prize unless expressly included. This prize DOES NOT INCLUDE any associated award of costs for travel, accommodations, or related expenses
One winner per week will be selected by means of random drawing to be held weekly through Friday, August 8, 2008. Entrants need not be present at drawing. Odds of winning vary by participation and number of eligible entries received. Weekly winners will be notified by electronic mail on or about Monday of each week through August 11, 2008.
One (1) grand prize winner will be selected from the ten weekly winners on or about Monday, August 11, 2008. The grand prize winner will be notified by electronic mail on or about Tuesday, August 12, 2008.
Prize is as follows:
Ten (10) weekly prize winners shall each be eligible to receive one (1) Limited Edition 2008 Bumbershoot Poster.
One (1) GRAND PRIZE Winner shall be eligible to receive two (2) Festival Passes for standard admission to each day of Bumbershoot 2008 (August 30–September 1 at Seattle Center). Value of prize package is Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00). Artists, times and event details are all subject to change based on the production needs and artist schedules
Winners must complete, sign and return the required Affidavit of Eligibility and Release ("Affidavit and Release"), a copy of which will be included in the material provided with notification of being selected a winner, within five (5) days of receiving notification. If the winner does not complete, sign and return such Affidavit of Eligibility and Release within five (5) days of notification or otherwise does not comply with these OFFICIAL RULES, that person will be disqualified and will forfeit any prize. Prize cannot be redeemed for cash, and are not transferable or exchangeable.
If a potential Prize Winner is unavailable to attend the event on the dates specified in the notification materials, prize will be forfeited. In the case of a declined or forfeited prize, One Reel shall have the right but not the obligation to select an alternate potential winner provided sufficient time exists to confirm and verify alternate potential winner to be completed by Friday, August 22, 2008.
The event is operated by One Reel, which is solely responsible for its conduct, completion and awarding of prizes. All decisions of One Reel on all matters relating to this event are final. The winner, by acceptance of a Prize, agrees to release One Reel and all prize providers from and against any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, death, disability, attorneys' fees, costs of litigation and settlement as well as damages or losses to persons and property that may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, redemption or use of the Prize or while traveling to and/or from a location to obtain or use a Prize.
One Reel has not made any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the use of the prize including, without limitation, quality, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Further, no responsibilities are accepted for any additional expenses, omissions, delays, re-routing, or acts of any government or authority.
One Reel shall not be liable to any winner or any other person for failure to supply the Prizes or any part thereof, by reason of any acts of God, any action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not the action(s), regulations(s), order(s) or request(s) prove(s) to be invalid), equipment failure, terrorist acts, earthquake, war, fire, flood, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal), labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, or any other cause beyond One Reel's sole control.
To the extent permitted by law, participation in this competition or acceptance of a prize constitutes permission to use the winner's name, biographical data, photograph, testimonial or other likeness and/or prize information or personal exposition for promotional, advertising and/or publicity purposes by One Reel or its designee(s), whether or not in connection with the event, without further compensation to or approval by the winner.
By entering, each participant confirms having read these Official Rules and agrees that s/he understands and will comply with them.
